I am finally back!! I have wanted to get back to posting, but things kept getting in the way. It truly did not help that it took me longer to take the picture and download it than it did to create even the most intricate card or project. But I have had fun this past week 'creating' and I was determined to share!
The first thing on my list was to create a garland using the SU! On Board Greetings Garland and the wonderful Holiday Harmony paper from the Mini Catalog. I love the fact that you have the option of using the positive or the negative of every letter. This means that I have enough chipboard left over to make more!
I used the positive image for the N and the E and 'colored' the chipboard with my Always Artichoke craft pad. There is no need to color the edges of the letters as it creates the perfect outline. The leaves were colored with Mellow Moss and the berry with Purely Pomegranate.
The garland also gave me the perfect opportunity to use my Jumbo Eyelets. I used my Crop-a-dile to punch the holes and set the eyelets. I love my Crop-a-dile for chipboard projects.... no more hand cramps trying to punch through chipboard with a hole punch meant for paper.
Adhering designer paper to the back allowed me to use the negative image for the O and L.
All of the star images were colored with Purely Pomegranate ink to coordinate with the designer paper and silk ribbon. I have to admit that I love this ribbon and have used two complete spools already!
Ladies, don't forget that you can currently purchase this ribbon from SU! under the Christmas special of Buy One Get One Free!
Have a wonderful day and find some time to create!
