I was thinking that you might like a few more views of and details about my 3x3 envelope box. The box itself is 3-1/4"x 3-1/4" so that even SU! mini square envelopes will fit inside. The thickness of the box will be 3/4" if completed as described in yesterday's post.
I used some Candy Lane paper on the side to cover up the side seams. I then used my scallop edge punch to decorate the lower edge of the box as well as draw attention to the flap.
I really had fun with the front. Notice my faux button? Those of you subscribed to my newsletter will recognize this button. It is Polyshrink punched out with the SU! circle scallop punch. - Easy peasy and extra buttons on the fly -
I wanted the heart image to really stand out so I decided to use my white embossing powder to create a 3-D feel. The heart itself was then attached to the box with Stampin' Dimensionals.
These are cute and REALLY easy to make. I can't wait to see what everyone does with my simple design!

I LOVE this version - especially the white embossing for the heart. 3x3 note cards are the best invention. Thank you for sharing the idea and the tutorial - great idea to use a white pen for the fold lines. The button is so cute, too (expensive when purchased at retail!)
